Putin signs decrees on financial aid to Abkhazia, S. OssetiaMarch

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has signed a decree instructing the Russian Finance Ministry to hold talks and sign financial assistance agreements with the finance ministries of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

The document, published in the database of Russian legal acts on Monday, orders "to accept the Russian Foreign Ministry's proposal agreed upon with the Russian Foreign Ministry on holding talks on signing an agreement between the Russian Finance Ministry and the South Ossetian Finance Ministry in line with Part 3 Article 11 of the Federal Law on International Agreements of Russia on the order of providing financialassistance in order to restore and secure socio-economic development and balanced budget of the republic."

Putin also signed a similar decree on the order of providing financial assistance to Abkhazia.
